Noise Complaint: The Final Show 06/28/10

It's here. A day that I didn't think would come so soon but knew would come eventually. Tonight is the final episode of Noise Complaint. It's been a good run and I'm glad to end the show while we're on top. I want to say thank you to everyone who tuned in to check out the show. Even if it was just for a few seconds one night. I appreciate the support more than you'll ever know. I hope that I was able to introduce you to some new acts you didn't know before or maybe even just brought back some good memories for you. I always say that Punk is definitely not dead. You just need to know where to find it. I'm sorry that I'm closing down this outlet but I assure you there are many other places out there.

Every time I've done an all punk rock covers show in the past it has been a huge success. As a thank you to all of you, I'm going to close things out with a covers show tonight. I think I've dug up some gems (with a lot of help from your feedback) and we're going to have a good time.

Before I close up shop, I do have a couple pair of tickets left for The Warped Tour on July 16th at Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden NJ. If you'd like to check it out just CLICK HERE.

I'll have the playlist posted for you later!

Noise Complaint 06/21/10

It's a little hard to believe that this is the second to last episode of Noise Complaint. I believe there have been just over 120 episodes. It's hard to say goodbye but I'm not closing the door on the show just yet. There's always the chance it can come back but as of right now I have no plans for that to happen.

I'm giving away copies of the new album from The Gaslight Anthem called American Slang tonight. A big thanks to Side One Dummy Records for hooking me up with those for you. It's a great record and picks up right where the band left off with The '59 Sound. If you want a copy just CLICK HERE!

Also I'm clearing out all the CD's and concert tickets I have left over through the facebook page. Take a look there to see what else you can pick up for free. Consider the giveaways my way of saying thank you for 2 1/2 years of support with this show.

Tonight's show is a bunch of my favorites. Either all time favorites or songs I've really come to enjoy, and discover, while doing Noise Complaint. Noise Complaint 06/14/10

Well everyone, it pains me to say this but it is a sad day for Noise Complaint. After nearly 140 over the last 2 years and 10 months, Noise Complaint is coming to an end. It was a tough decision but in the end I think it's the right one. Over the last few months it has become increasingly less...how can I put this...less "fun" and more like work to do this show and that's when I realized it was time to think about stepping away. Also, the host station, YRockonXPN.org is going through some major changes right now and that gave me the extra push I needed to make the call.

I want to thank everyone who has been around since day one or even day 140. I wouldn't still be doing the show at all if it weren't for the amazing emails and comments I've had from you. There is a chance that Noise Complaint will come back in some form in the future but for now we're on an indefinite hiatus.

All that being said, the last show is on June 28th and I've decided that it's going to be an all punk rock covers show. Those are always a ton of fun to put together and I need your help picking the songs. Let me know what you want to hear. Either comment on our FACEBOOK page or shoot me an EMAIL.

I kicked off the show tonight with Against Me's latest "I Was A Teenage Anarchist." If you're interested, here's the video...

I always hear a lot of people pissing and moaning about the Warped Tour and how there aren't a lot of punk bands on it anymore. Now, if I hear that a lot, you can only imagine how many times Kevin Lyman hears it. He speaks about that in a recent interview that you can read RIGHT HERE. It's actually a pretty interesting read.

And now for the playlist...

Noise Complaint 06/07/10

I hope you didn't miss me too much last week. I'll admit that while doing this show does take up a good amount of time during my week, I do miss it when I don't have to do it. At least when I have a week off I know that I will have plenty of new music to give you when I come back. That's the story tonight. Brand new tracks from Off With Their Heads, Me and Mark, Skafield, Swingin' Utters and Girl In A Coma just to name a few. It's going to be a good show so I hope you enjoy.

There are a couple other things as well...

Far is back with a vengeance in their new album "At Night We Live." Check out this video interview of their singer, Jonah, talking about the reunion...

Kid Dynamite and Ink & Dagger will be reuniting for the This Is Hardcore Festival in Philadelphia in August. Should be a pretty incredible weekend of shows. Unfortunately it sold out pretty quickly. I know they're trying to crack down on scalpers but if you try hard enough you might be able to get your hands on a ticket. If you want to know more about the festival CLICK HERE.
