Noise Complaint 04/18/11

I spent most of this week doing some punk rock research. Basically that means I went searching for some new bands to play on the show. It's easy to grab music from the bigger names and the bigger labels but there's so much other stuff floating around out there. I wanted to make sure they got a fair shake on Noise Complaint as well. Here are a couple of bands I've grown to enjoy.

The Gateway District caught my ear by accident. I can't even tell you how I heard of them but I'm glad I did. CLICK HERE to download a song from their latest album "Perfect's Gonna Fail."

The French Exit have posted their new album and made it available for whatever price you want to pay. That means you can download it for free or you can kick them a few dollars for their troubles. CLICK HERE to check them out.

I think Joyce Manor is my favorite of all the bands I came across. I really dig their song "Leather Jacket." They've also posted one of their records for whatever price you want. Far be it from me to tell you what to do but I'm sure they wouldn't mind it if you sent them a couple of bucks. CLICK HERE and make the call.

Here's the playlist...

Noise Complaint 04/11/11

Baseball season is in full swing. 9 games into the season and I'm already just about ready to kill myself. If the Red Sox don't start turning things around I think it may be time to just end it all.

OK, that's a little dramatic and I'm not actually serious. What I am serious about is this show tonight. Some great music on the program for you today. Let's not forget the fun stuff I have for you here as well.

Bad Religion stopped by Jimmy Kimmel live the other day to perform a couple of songs. Here they are...

Noise Complaint 04/04/11

I just realized that I never posted the playlist from last week. I'm really sorry about that. I don't know what came over me. Hopefully all of the goodies that I'm giving you this week will more than make up for it.

Let's start with Frank Turner. He's put out the first single off his upcoming album "England Keep My Bones." You can download I Am Disappeared RIGHT HERE for free.

If you're looking for more free music, I've got you covered. Epitaph has released a free sampler featuring new songs from a few of their upcoming records. Get it HERE.

Face to Face is back with another song that will be on their upcoming album. By the way, it looks like that album is going to be hitting the stores in May. Listen to It's Not All About You HERE.

Mikey Erg may not have to worry about performing with his band "The Ergs" anymore...because they broke up, but he's still one of the busiest guys in punk rock these days. He sat down with the gang at PunkNews.org to chat a bit. Take a look at the whole interview HERE.
